I'm not gonna lie, I asked ChatGPT to write this intro. I told it to write in the 'tone of Michelle Skamene', and I got the spinny wheel of death. The equivalent of.... who's that?
So as impressed as I've been with its capabilities lately, I may not be completely obsolete (yet). My good friend and colleague, Adrian Png, has been wrestling with that question too, and what AI tools such as ChatGPT might mean for folks like us (developers, architects, designers, etc). As for myself, I've spent a fair amount of time playing with it to get a sense of how it might actually be able to help me in my day-to-day life. Ethical considerations aside (and there are many), I was amazed at its capabilities, and realized that most of the magic was in the prompt.
