Bump into a Canadian on the street, and you'll likely hear us say: "Oh goodness, I'm so sorry!" Even if you're the one doing the bumping. Few things are as Canadian as a good 'ole apology. We even say it kind of funny.
So, although we hope not to make a habit of it, we do want to start off the Insum Weekly #2 with a bit of a mea culpa. We were so excited to get our first edition out that we might have missed a few steps in our QA process.
First of all, we learned that email tracking parameters (automatically inserted by HubSpot) and some APEX URLs don't play nice. So if you were looking for Peter Raganitsch's Murdle, here it is.
Second of all, we DO know that spiders are not insects. Our hearts were in the right place, though. RIP Connor's spider.
Thirdly, and this is a bit of a biggie, the post we published last week was not quite ready for prime time, and we're fixing it. So if you were looking for how to add selected records from an IG to a collection, we'll have that for you soon.
For all of the above, we give you a maple-syrup-soaked SORREY served up on a poutine platter.
Thank you for bearing with us as we embark on this new adventure that is the Insum Weekly. We're so glad you're here.

Release of Flows for APEX 22.1
Last Friday, the Flows for APEX team announced the general availability of its 22.1 version.
Here at Insum, we're big fans of the BPMN-based workflow engine APEX extension already (read some of the reasons here), and we can't wait to check out some of the new features.
Major new features of the 22.1 release include:
Business rule task: ability to execute a PL/SQL script
Service task: declaratively define sending an email
Modeler: addition of the Monaco text editor for PL/SQL input to variable expressions and script code entry
Modeler: use of APEX metadata in UI for specifying links to APEX pages and page items
If you'd like to learn more about how you might be able to leverage this open-source workflow engine in your Oracle APEX projects, simply reply to this email. We'd love to chat!
